Frequent extreme weather events, such as heavy flooding, have highlighted the vulnerability of properties across Gold Coast and wider Queensland. Ground subsidence – the downward movement of the ground caused by factors like erosion, extreme weather, and human activities like construction and development – can lead to sinking property and building foundations.
Chemical underpinning is an effective method to reduce the risk or repair the damage resulting from subsidence. For reliable and experienced underpinning services in Gold Coast and throughout Queensland, look no further than Resinject.
Symptoms of Subsidence
Subsidence, identified as the downward movement of soil, frequently results from erosion and varying moisture levels beneath the ground. Activities, such as vibrations from nearby construction, can also contribute to subsidence. As the soil sinks, your property’s foundations can follow suit, leading to several issues that may significantly affect your property.
Sunken or sinking foundations
Sunken or sinking concrete slabs
Uneven floors
Cracked walls
Jammed doors and windows
Holes and voids
Unlevel structures and more
Resinject utilises a largely non-invasive, Australian made RSJ170 resin for effective underpinning solutions. Injecting the non-toxic resin into the affected soil areas helps restore stability and improve the soil’s strength, making it suitable for various applications such as house foundation repairs, floor levelling, and other concrete repair needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Leaving an unstable structure can cause further issues. By having an early assessment/treatment, will save further costs and lessen further damage from occurring.
Most residential jobs are finished within a few hours. Bigger projects may take over a day; your Structural Consultant will discuss the time frame as part of the free site assessment and quoting.
Only a licenced builder has the knowledge and experience required to assess how a building’s internal structure is going to react to ground consolidation and stabilisation.
Drawing on over 60 years’ combined experience, Resinject only uses a resin that has an Australian Standard resin and can be injected to a depth of up to 3.5 metres if necessary with the necessary re-support installed We do offer a 50 year guarantee against shrinkage with our product.
Injection depth can be critical to ensuring long-term ground consolidation. Each situation varies and the injection depth is determined by the state of the ground and or dependant on geo-technical reports. That’s why we inject our resin at multiple and different depths varying between 800mm and 3.5m.
If there are utility services in close proximity to the injection points, we may have to clear some areas for a visual inspection. Otherwise, only small holes are drilled to allow our product to be injected. These are sealed with non-shrink grout upon completion.
