Are you concerned about cracks in your house walls?

Resinject can protect your biggest asset with our proven chemical ground consolidation technology. This resin is one of the most effective wall crack repair solutions in Australia, helping to stabilise your property and minimise existing or emerging hairline cracks in walls.

Whether you’re dealing with a small cosmetic crack or a structural issue, we offer a smarter alternative to conventional wall crack repairs.

What causes cracks in your walls?

There are many reasons why cracks in walls appear, and it’s essential to understand the cause before simply patching over the damage.

Early professional wall repairs can prevent worsening problems and more costly repairs down the line.

A major trigger for wall cracking is the ground beneath your foundations. If the soil shifts, erodes or loses stability, the structure above can start to move. Our expanding polyurethane resin addresses this issue at its source, restoring support and helping to prevent further cracking.

How we repair cracked walls

Our resin injection method works by strengthening the soil beneath your foundations. This stabilises the structure, increases load-bearing capacity and stops further movement.

It is a long-term solution, not just a surface fix, ideal for brick wall crack repair, concrete wall crack repair or repeated cracking caused by subsidence.

If you’ve noticed cracks in walls, we’ll assess the site to determine the cause and provide a clear plan to address it properly.

Our goal is to resolve the underlying issue, not just mask the symptoms.

If there are hairline cracks in your walls, then we can help check the following important factors.

Types of cracked walls

Most cracked walls will tell a story of one form of subsidence or another. We at Resinject are big believers in being proactive, rather than reactive, and that early detection and quality brick wall restoration and underpinning can save you in repair bills. Not to mention, it’ll also consolidate the ground which was the original source of compromise.

Step cracking in brickwork

The stair-step or zig-zag appearance is often seen on a cracked brick wall. These cracks suggest your home or site foundations are subsiding. It could also mean the ground has lost pressure, causing it to shift and transfer stress unevenly through the brick wall or structure. Resinject wall restoration can stabilise your land and fix any hairline cracks in walls.

Horizontal cracks

Wall cracks can indicate that a specific area of ground has moved or voided and has displaced the foundation with it. They are suggestive of a localised area of movement. These cracks appear near the area of movement but can have implications for the whole structure and require fast and efficient underpinning solution.

Door frame or window cracks

While these are often hairline cracks that are not usually significant, they can highlight the movement in the footings and foundations of a home. This also results in loss of load-bearing capacity from the ground supporting the foundations in the localised area.

Soils

Most often, the root cause of wall and ceiling cracks is the soil beneath your foundations. Some types of soil can cause stress through a foundation and affect the structure above it.

Granular or sandy organic soil:
There will be some degree of erosion, as the sand particles can be washed out through compromised plumbing services.

Reactive clay soil:
These will swell with increased moisture content and shrink as it dries, forming “voids” or empty spaces that could lead to washouts. Such soils can reach saturation, turning into something of a “bog” with little to no load-bearing capability.

Vegetation:
Sometimes nearby vegetation can leech moisture from the soils around your property.

Drainage

Stormwater services, sewers, faulty plumbing or even just a dripping tap can affect the stability of your home’s foundation. If the soil beneath your foundation is prone to erosion, voids, or bog formation, and if your plumbing is not serviceable, this can result in an unstable foundation and cracked walls.

Construction

Poor build design and quality can also lead to cracked walls. If the building is not adequately constructed with an appropriate drainage system, or the ground has not been properly compacted, the foundations could be compromised.

Inadequate construction can cause instability and hairline cracks in walls. But this can be fixed by professional wall repairs and quality underpinning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most residential jobs are finished within a few hours. Bigger projects may take over a day; your Structural Consultant will discuss the time frame as part of the free site assessment and quote.

Underpinning repairs are required as a consequence of subsidence, after the injection process the building needs time to settle back into its original shape.

You should therefore always wait for 4-6 weeks after injection before carrying out any cosmetic brick wall repairs.

Like keyhole surgery, no major excavation is required. In most cases, there is no need for you to vacate the property so you can enjoy minimal disruption to your daily routine. However, it is preferable to have the work area cleared prior to our arrival.

Your Project Manager will discuss site specific requirements with you during the free site inspection and quoting if they are needed.

Underpinning and wall crack repairs can be carried out by a small crew who will arrive in a self-contained truck. When planning road access, our work truck is approximately 8.0 m long, 2.5 m wide and 3.2 m tall.

Due to our long hoses, we can work up to 70 m from our self-contained mobile unit, so there should be no need to park any heavy vehicle in a sensitive area.

With over 100 years of combined experience, Resinject exclusively uses an Australian-engineered resin that can be injected to depths of up to 6.5 meters when needed, ensuring proper re-support is installed. We do offer a 50 year guarantee against shrinkage with our product.

Yes. In most cases, there is no need to demolish or rebuild a cracked brick wall. Our resin injection method restores the stability of the ground beneath, which helps realign and support the structure. This approach is ideal for brick wall crack repair where subsidence or soil movement is the underlying cause.

The most effective long-term solution is to fix the underlying cause — which is often unstable ground beneath your foundations. Rather than patching over the cracks, we stabilise the soil using structural resin injection. This addresses the root issue and prevents cracks from reappearing, making it a smarter alternative to cosmetic-only wall crack repair.

Yes. Resinject provides structural wall crack repair services across New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT. Whether you’re in Sydney, Brisbane, or Canberra, our team can assess your property and provide tailored advice based on local ground conditions.
