The Site

A large steel fabrication company employing over 140 staff and operating around the clock.

The Issue

The large steel frame warehouse was subsiding due to constant heavy machinery movement and underlying weak ground conditions. Water seepage beneath the slabs was considered to be a contributing factor to the overall subsidence. The subsidence was causing damage to machinery as it exited and entered the building.

The client wanted to remediate the sunken foundations without the expense of excavation and to keep the facility operational.

The Resinject Solution

Our solution was a far more cost-effective alternative to traditional underpinning processes, which can be expensive and disruptive.

Over the course of 1 day the Resinject Team injected a series of stabilising piers at various depths to prevent any future movement of the foundations. Additionally, the team “slab jacked” the internal area of the warehouse to fill any voids and prevent any further cracking of the concrete slabs caused by the heavy machinery moving over the top of it.

Resinject remediated the concrete slabs using its RSJ170 structural resin injection solution. RSJ170 was chosen for its ability to return the sunken slabs back to its original level within a matter of hours, compared to traditional and highly invasive re-levelling or slab replacement methods that would have taken weeks to complete.

The client was very happy with the result, posting a great review on Google for us.
