The Site

A large-scale warehouse designed for manufacturing, storage, distribution, and logistical operations. The exterior of the warehouse is constructed of a steel frame and concrete tilt panels. The interior foundations are constructed of infill concrete slabs.

The iconic facility operates around the clock, producing and delivering products around Australia.

The Issue

The client contacted Resinject because the concrete slabs were “bouncing” when vehicles drove over them. This was causing damage to the vehicles and products. As well as trip hazards for personnel.

The client wanted to remediate the sunken foundations without the expense of excavation and to keep the facility operational.

The Resinject Solution

Resinject had previously undertaken a project for this client aimed at addressing subsidence issues in a different facility. Due to Resinject’s reputation and prior work history, the client entrusted them with rectifying the issue at hand in the current facility.

Over ten hours the team filled the voids and strengthened the ground with Resinjects structural resin, RSJ170. RSJ170 resin was chosen for its ability to return the sunken slabs back to their original level within a matter of hours, saving the client operational downtime and money. As a result of the remedial work carried out, the adjacent slabs were re-leveled, providing a seamlessly even surface suitable for the smooth movement of vehicles and personnel.

The solution was far more cost-effective compared to traditional slab jacking processes, which can be expensive and disruptive.

The work exceeded the clients’ expectations (again) and is backed by Resinject’s 50 years product and 10-year workmanship warranty.
