The Site
A large open paved area surrounding a truck and distribution yard. Commercial vehicles constantly pass over the large area on a daily basis.
The Issue
Due to the recent heavy rains subsidence had become a major problem due to water pooling under the slabs.
The water ingress was causing a washout of the soil under the slabs. Vibrations from the heavy vehicles were also compromising the weak surfaces making the whole area unsafe and unusable.
The Resinject Solution
The Resinject Solution: Resinject injected RSJ170 too push the water away from the affected area and compact the ground.
This process strengthened the ground and raised the slabs 100mm back to their original position.
Once the ground was strengthened the client sealed the surfaces to stop water from ingressing under the slab and preventing future movement.
