The Site
A single story brick veneer dwelling constructed on concrete strip footings.
The Issue
An area of the dwelling had suffered 10mm of subsidence due to destabilised soil underneath the foundations. This caused the brickwork to crack which impacted the aesthetics and the structural integrity of the dwelling.
The homeowner was looking for a cost effective and non invasive solution.
The Resinject Solution
Resinject was chosen to rectify the subsidence by providing a cost effective and non-invasion solution. Resinject recommended using their RSJ170 structural resin. RSJ170 is an engineered polyurethane resin that expands and solidifies when injected into the ground. The resin strengthens the ground and re-levels the overlaying foundations.
Resinject’s RSJ170 structural resin (and the Team) successfully underpinned the front portion of the home.
The resin was also able to re-level the foundations and subsequently close the external wall crack.
Resinject completed this project in a few hours and was a fraction of the cost compared to traditional underpinning.
